Thank god for Jake Gyllenhaal, who was the cinematic equivalent of a glass of cold water in hell.

I sat through this entire disaster purely for Jake Gyllenhaal and I feel personally victimized by how little screen time he got. He deserved better, I deserved better, humanity deserved better.

At least I got to smile for five whole minutes while he was actually on screen.

Without him: 1/5. With him: A slightly more tolerable 2.5/5 because at least he looked good.

Worum geht’s?

An intimate family portrait of four hapless but resilient women and the bittersweet lessons they learn in keeping up with the hectic demands of their individual neuroses. Each of the women seeks redemption in her own haphazard way, but whatever salvation they find is illusory and short-lived.
