Well, we all know why I watched this movie.
It’s one of the most unserious films I've ever watched, but somehow, it was executed so well. Idk why, but I had so much fun watching it.
The fight scenes were amazing, but in my opinion the acting is definitely the weakest part of the movie. Especially those gangsters or whatever those guys were supposed to be. They were way too goofy and not really what you'd expect from criminals. Okay, it might have been intentional, and it kind of worked, but the movie would've been a bit better if the villains felt more credible.
“It's really weird. Somebody asked me today if I was scared. And I am. I'm scared of what'll happen if somebody pushes me too far. Somebody like you. Because, unfortunately, I know what happens then.”I like how Dalton thinks and talks how he literally states what bone he's gonna break before he actually breaks it.
Btw I love that the live band just kept playing through all the chaos and fights.
As always, Jake Gyllenhaal's performance was perfect just like his Build like bro his six pack is literally THAT perfect!!!
But let’s be real for the past 5 years now, we've been getting quite good movies with Jake Gyllenhaal. But to be honest, the movies have faded, you just have to compare this movie with, for example, Prisoners or Nightcrawler and you quickly realize what I mean.
Worum geht’s?
